Spring 2013

Spring is upon us once again and the question that seems to keep being asked is "How much snow is left in the woods?"  in a word, lots. By this time last year we had already been out on a couple clean up days, all the winter blow down had been removed and had a build day , this year there is still 1 to 2 feet of snow on the trails. With the present weather forecast being above freezing during the day for the next couple weeks the snow should disappear at a steady rate and cause minimal trail damage from run off and flooding.
Over the winter there has been a large amount of trees come down and many branches come down on the trails, as the snow starts to disappear the trails will have to be walked to remove these assess how much work needs to be done before the season starts. Anyone wishing to help out please let me know.
I will post trail days as soon as the snow recedes enough to start trail work.
